I like D-types too. But they are ridiculously expensive. You can probably get 50 old 911s for the price of one D-type.

The ratio of old 911s vs D-Types for sale are probably 500-1
71 D-Types were made, and they don't trade hands very often.

There are some 911s that are more valuable than the cheapest D-types. This example was estimated for $2.5M. The factory made only 54 3.0 RSR models and the most famous ones are really expensive.
